definitely man.... I rigged so much pretty stuff last year, even i woulda bit into it.... We trolled and trolled and trolled. 4 white marlin, some longfin, and dolphin along the weed lines, but wow we sure wasted a lot of fuel hunting those tuna and wahoo last year.... Hopefully like you said this year will bring better luck.

Forget the meat fish. Catching 4 White Marlin is equivelant to 40 yellowfins.

Whitey, You have a great point man, the first one last season was the best!!!, We had a knockdown on the port long rigger while we were trolling out to the wilmington, so i ran over thinkin it was a tuna, had a tight line for multiple cranks, and called my boss down from the helm to work the fish in..... He comes over, he put a belt on and got to work. As i started clearing lines like a madman, his went slack and the one i was clearing bent in half!!!! YUP the white wasn't hooked on his daisy chain, but just holding on for a taste, and i guess the spreader bar i was zipping in on the cleared rod caught his fancy, came over and just inhaled it! He then cleared the water, and to my surprised it was a beautiful white! I handed the rod off to the boss, and we got him boatside and took some awesome pics! I was so surprised how far from the canyon he was, it was pretty awesome! During this whole ordeal we were heading out alongside the 38' Out Island that is now for sale on the forum! They were cheering us on the whole fight it was sweet!

dude, when i go fishing its for the day........why would you run back in and tell everyone you were back first? it's not a race! relax.....you need a day on the HUBRIS. after a day like that, you change up, pull lures, move east, pick it up, and enjoy your new found success. you dont run home!!!!! let me take your blood pressure next time we meet.

Normally I have a real problem heading 330 degrees. I had been fishing for about 8 days in a row and the bite was off the hook. I managed to scrape together 2 other guys in the morning and promised them we would be back in time for dinner with a hold full of yellow fin. I had a real problem those 2 weeks in that I couldn't stop going. I probably would have gone by myself that day if I couldn't have gotten a crew together. Is there a support group out there for me?

I do need a day on HUBRIS when are we going?

We don't do the inshore bluefin thing. We have a disease that will not allow us to stop untill we are over 500 fathoms
