    Night time tile fish

we always target tiles during the day when the tuna bite slows down. has anyone targeted them at night? if so, how is the fishery? i figure that regardless of day or night, it is dark down there...

I have never had good luck bottomo fishing at night.

Never could understand why, they can't use the light to see at 500 plus feet.

But for me bottom fishing has never picked up until the sun gets past 9.

I do most of my bottom fishing down south, never decided to drop in the the baltimore before 10, in the morning we are pounding any bait we find early.

They live in burrows and yes there is some light down there. They lay in waitfor something to pass the opening of their burrow. A dark overcast day though is enough to shut them down... They feed on lobsters and squid and yes its a sight thing. At night they just hole up...
