    Nice Baja Wahoo...very nice!

Of course, but not as nice as the 153# former world record caught not far from where this one was, but still, a good fish. Not unusual for that area. Lots of other big game fish, too, plus awesome BIG rooster and other inshore fishing.

Hard to believe it's basically a hop, skip and a jump from the U.S. and that you (each, two persons) can get three days of panga (a blast!) fishing, four nights of lodging, breakfast, lunch, and two nights of dinners, unlimited free boat beer and soft drinks, live bait, tackle if you don't bring it, ground transportation to and from La Paz airport, including all taxes, filleting and vac packing fish for you to take home...hell, even your laundry is free!

Of course, airfare isn't included, but with some of today's rates, there should be some good deals to be made. And if business or pleasure takes you to the west coast and you can fit in a few days extra? Up to you.

What the hell? What a stupid question. I didn't Photo Shop that guy's face. Those are the original anglers, both long term and respected captains for Fishermens Fleet in La Paz. David Jones, fleet owner and the one who sent this picture to me can confirm that, along with the names of the two of them. Why in the world would I or anyone else want to change the face of one of those anglers? They are good, honest, Mexican captains who were proud of a fine fish that they caught and I wanted to share it with the members here.

It's a great fish. That's what the picture was about. I guess you missed that. Kinda sad.

Here are some other shots. It's the former world record, along with the angler who caught it and his son and the present world record, caught on a Cabo charterboat. Check them closely, eagle eye. You never know, someone else's heads could have been P-shopped on there by nefarious, evil old Fred for dark, unknown reasons.

Oh, and there's a picture of a big amberjack coming up. Be sure to check it closely for tampering...ya never know, ya know?

If anyone else wants to post pictures of fish, please don't let this sort of thing dissuade you...post away. Myself and many other fishermen enjoy seeing them.

I sincerely hope that you were joking, N2.

This was about some magnificent fish, not who caught it or in the other pictures below.

I refuse to deal in Internet warfare, so I am done with this one, no matter what.

    God Bless

    NO, that's his real face!

The man in the picture is named Oliver Horezcky, retired L.A. county sheriff, long term customer, and friend. Pointing out how odd looking he is in poor taste, but I guess he's used to it by now. The Fishermen's Fleet in La Paz is the "resort" mentioned. www.fishermensfleet.com

I don't think he was trying to insult your integrity, at first glance I agree, that face does look photo-shopped. I'm sure its not but it looks that way. Either way, one hell of a Wahini!

I agree with skirt. However; I will say that N2 could have fraised his inquiry a little better. Either way it's a beauty and I'm jealous.

    Chubasco,

All the guys in my pictures are on the ugly side? Not so, dang it! I pick them for their great looks compared to mine! Shoot, man, you wanna talk ugly, I take the cake! I'm walking proof of what a hard life can and will do to you.

I'd put a pict of me up here, but I don't want to scare the women and children!

I don't know why that head looked P-shopped. I did clean up the sky because it had some nasty looking stuff on it. Maybe wahoo slime? Happy fisherman drool? I dunno, but I didn't touch those fishermen, both of whom are fine fellows who caught a nice 'hoo.

A major AJ (Pacific version), coming up.

I apologize. That is a hell of a fish and a fine catch. But that photo has had something done to it. There is an obvious line on the neck where two COMPLETELY different skin tones meet, and the proportions of the head to the rest of the body are way out of wack. The other photos you posted of the guy don't even look close to the same person.

    Hell of a fish though.
