New Years SST shot for Mid Atlantic

Hey all, been swamped finishing out the year at work and havent been on the board much since waters cooled off. It was just by chance that I was showing someone what SST shots look like and came across this for January 1st...

Def makes me take a little closer look at WX reports because my boat is actually still in the water...HMMMMMMMMM

4-5 fish taken between 150+ boats is decent numbers?

I just checked rip charts again today. Looks like the closet edge to South Jersey is sitting right on the 1000 between the Baltimore and the Wilmington. Looks to be a 14 degree break over about 4 miles. I would love to go out there right now.

Amen tommy. 1/6bluefin2na reported a 77",1 /7 persistence 76", healthy grin 87",1/8 134 lber,1 /8 mchbridg bluefin no size reported,1/ 9 226 lber. Oh course striper fishermen unprepared spooled and i doubt all fish caught or lost were reported on the message boards.considering all this within site of the eez pretty good catching.May have been better numbers if they all(150) were targeting tuna which MOST were NOT...

    Did you get one?

    That's what I thought...

Are you even on the water?

Actually, there are quite few high liners fishing there. Plenty of boats there are targeting tuna with heavy tackle. A handful of fish are coming in daily. Schools are moving South. It really hasn't been that good there since the end of last week...
