    the above report needs further confirmation from you guys close to the action,,,word has it,, they weren't in the calcutta and a different giant fish escapped a different boat after a four hour battle

    Captain Bart Miller has had a chance to speak with Captain Mike of the Rascal.

    The story is confirmed that it was a Black Bart lure that caught the new South Carolina State Record Blue Marlin.

    Captain Mike was running 5 ballyhoo with Islander heads in the riggers and a Softhead pusher flat. The other flat line was a BBL 1656 Slant.

    The Captain was running 7.5 knots when the big 881 pound mama hit the lure.

    Hats off to the crew abord the Rascal!

    More to come as the captain gets time to put his thoughts and memories together.
