Much better nightlife in Port Canaveral, especially when the cruise ships are in.

    Port Canaveral Nightlife

I can't imagine what that must be like.

I'd guess a high concentration of the nearly-dead, newly-wed, and rug rat toting families from the big red boats.

I'll take the Vinoy and St. Pete anyday. (Last year, we spent so much time there that the bellmen bought me a box of Padron Anniversarios for Christmas.)

The Vinoy just finished their new docks and it's about time. Vinoy was always a place to stick a boat that you are not surrounded by blow boating whiners like the municipal marina.

Canaveral is not bad at all, if the Carnival ship is in you can expect a younger crowd. Only complaint, it is a long idle to get out of the inlet. If there is a sub coming in they will shut the inlet down to traffic until it enters the basin. If you like kingfishing, there is a good population of ribbonfish to be caught near the docks for bait.

I lived in NSB for a few years, plenty of water in the inlet, make a left and follow the ICW about a mile to the north causway bridge, just on the south side of the bridge is Riverveiw's,nice resturant and bar with a few slips.T dock will handle you fine, however that's about the end of it.You will probably be happier in Canaveral.

    JDL CORRECT

    Hi:
JDL is right. I used to keep my boat just a 1/4 mile past the restaraunt. Good eats there and the dock can handle most boats. STAY IN TH CHANNEL.

I live about 2 mils inside Ponce inlet. Its is marked very well and it should not be a problem, however do not attempt this inlet at night without help, it can be really nasty. Boat US has a full time pilot on stand by channel #16. If you know when you are going to arrive give me PM and I will meet you and help you in. If you need any further information please e-mail me rarhomes@aol.com.
