I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself before getting on with the fishing report. WahooKing referred me to this forum and told me you guys are a great group of folks. I look foward to sharing ideas and reports with you all.
My name is Mike, I am 16 years old, and live and fish in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I mainly like to fish for sailfish, kingfish, dolphin, and wahoo. I am going to begin local wreck fishing soon. I have a 32 Boston Whaler Outrage powered by twin 250 Verados. Her name is Momentum, hence, my forum name. Now on with the report: WahooKing and a non-member met up with me at the dock to go fishing with hopes of scoring a wahoo. We loaded the boat and set to catch bait. We only managed three baits in rougher conditions so we headed out to hi-speed troll WahooKing lures. Now you may think: man, just another lure, they all do the same thing. Not really. This lure is a work of art, not some machine produced high production lure that will fall apart on your after one or two chainsaw wahoo. I didn't know that lure making could be such a meticulous and creative job, thus, Wahooking does this with his lures and they are proven some of the best in the world. True tournament winners. This lure saved our day in less than favorable conditions. We trolled for over an hour without any hits before I turned the boat back around to start trolling towards home. Right after, we have a fish on and landed my first wahoo, a wehoo at 10lbs on a Wahooking lure, his smaller version. Afterwards, we used our scarce live bait supply in hopes of landing the first sailfish of the newly born sailfish season. The first bait was the bottom bait and soon up came an undersized mutton snapper. Next bait was a 20lb king that bit through the wire boatside and the third and final fish ended up to be the sailfish that we had hoped for. He almost spooled my TLD 15, but we got on him and made a great release. All together, it was a great day catching a wahoo and 3 fish on just three baits. The Wahooking lure saved the day...so much, that I had to take a dip in my pocket and buy some myself. If any of you guys are interested in the lures or have any questions, contact WahooKing, he is a super nice guy and knows his stuff about wahoo!!! My friends have also caught huge yellowfin tunas off of them and frequently marlin, all over the country and world. ![]() My first wahoo: ![]() My new Ace Fishing Lures collection: ![]() As my first tidbit of advice to those thinking about wahoo fishing: Check WahooKing's site out! You can order lures directly off the site and check out the articles on the wahoo fish written by a great wahoo fisherman. They helped me a lot. www.wahooking.com Have a good one!

Aloha Little Mike
Glad you made it to this forum...Welcome aboard Let me tell you all a little story about Mike...Well, I met him in cyberworld...This young guy reminded me lots of myself at that age....This kid wanted to learn about all kinds of fishing...He would PM me constantly asking questions....how do you do this? how do you do that?........I built a good friendship with Mike....Then one day I came across fishermen bashing Mike because he was a kid and had expensive toys....That made me mad....So I told them guys privately that I'm taking this kid under my wing...I always have time for the young ones....esp. if they want to learn....they all laughed at me... This past weekend Mike invited me on his sweet boat....This kid drives the boat flawlessly...A young Capt. in the making.....The kid has mad fishing skills too....We quickly silenced the critics with our catch.....He'll be tournament fishing in no time... Thanks for the report Momentum. I spent last winter down your way (Harbor Islands Marina, Hollywood), you're certainly in the right town for boating and fishing. Keep those reports coming. When winter sets in up North we're going to need some good fish stories to keep us going til summer. Nice promo for those lures too, maybe the tackle business is in your future.
Thanks again,

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! The name Delph sounds familiar, how old is Robbie?
You all should start seeing some sailfish reports coming up in short time....probably even a couple more wahoo trips going out too as we swing the corner into the rougher winter months. I'm really dying to get to Bimini or the Bahamas at least to try for wahoo this winter... Anyways, maybe this weekend I can have another report for you all... This nearby tropical wave off the FL peninsula is driving me nuts... DEEP C: Have you guys got into any sailfish yet? Dolphin have been in close here and sails as well with the E wind pushing the clean water in a ways...which is really nice... Anthony, I will let you know if I am going to head out this weekend...I am pretty much set on things, just a couple terminal tackle items and we'll be set...

Robbie is in his early 30's. He fishes all the Kingfish tournaments down there and has three brothers all younger running boats in Key West. They all learned it from their dad who is suppose to be one of the best at tarpon down there. Robbie does it all but loves running offshore for sails etc. I fish with him every year for three of four days and go to Key West for a week in the winter. I lived three years in Miami and worked in Ft. Lauderdale. I wish I was in your shoes!! Im jealous LOL keep up the good work
