New Maryland blackfish Record

My fishing buddy, Sam caught a 20 lbs 11 ounce tog on the Morning Star out of Ocean City, MD today. The existing Maryland record is 19 1/2 lbs.
He also caught 16 1/2, 16, 15 and 14 pounders. All were tagged and released except the trophy tog which he is going to mount it.

AWESOME!!!!

Despite being know as canyon fishermen I think Blackfish are the greatest fish to catch on rod and reel and take as much skill as most marlin.

I just talked with Capt. Mark.
He had 7 yellowfin, 5 bluefin and one swordfish on an ovenight trip to canyon off Hatteras, NC. They even caught two yellowfin on jigs and lost huge tuna which could be a big bluefin tuna or bigeye at night !!!

They caught a 66 lbs cod on a cod party boat in MA yesterday.

Good fishing is everywhere while I have to work Saturday and Sunday.
