Cool THE NEW CONTENDER 31T w/ TWIN 350's

Had the opportunity sick as I am tonight, to see her up close and personal and WOW!

The new G2 hull is incredible, everything looks sweeter then ever and the twin 350's are just sick looking that boat is going to no doubt FAST!

Now boasting 310 gallons of fuel standard with the option of 50 gallons more.

A few little twist and tweaks to her length and girth and she is better then ever!

I will try to post some pictures in the am!

    Hey Mary,
Just heard that Contender is going to be a sponsor of the Avalon Classic Billfish Tournament out here on Catalina, It's now

And that Anthony (from Bad Company) has the NEW contender dealership in Southern California; Good move, great location to move allot of boats.

So, do any of you East coast folks plan on coming out for the event?
Melton International Tackle is also a sponsor of the series!

I would love to but other commitments. Marty from Contender will be over there for its his territory.

Maybe someone can take some pictures of the event and post them up for us ????

They should do very well with the boats over there, I know its been something that they have been working on for a while!

cat out of the bag yet?

    I see, work, work, work...
These tournaments are tough for center consoles as sight fishing is the key, but it would be cool to see a CC go fast ride do well...

    Here are some pictures.

This boat is loaded out with options, and custom colors in the livewells and the boxes per customer request

The coffin box that you see I believe is Birdsall.

Some of the changes I noticed is obviously the console, other consoles are available.

The Gunnel cap is wider but still maneuverable.

The top is a custom birdsall top, and the frame on the back deck is a buggy top.

A custom 40" birdsall leaning post will go on the boat.

The transom is much thicker and has been re-designed to accept the higher hp motors.

    The transom door is beefier.

They have 2 of these boats out in the field with 200 plus hours on these 350's all is well 100% transom and engines!

    Can't wait to get ours!

I would love to go to Cali no doubt!

It can be done, just need the boat set up right across the board! You an infrared camera up top, angled back and down in to the spread with heat warning hooked in to a stand alone display at the helm. Now the cold meds are kicking in!

I have the Contender Regulator shootout in Montauk the weekend before. After labor day tournaments are back to back almost every weekend, plus I start with the new company next weds.

So I guess that means work work work

I with you on that one ours should be up in a week or so can't wait! Like a little kid in a candy shop waiting in line!
With the new hull I am not 100% sure but it has to be close to 68-70 mph
