In the below post to Ace1st on 29 Apr, you mentioned that you have new spreader bars coming out based on feedback from Josh Temple. Any word on when they'll be available in your catalog and can you throw a bone or two about what the improvements are?
[QUOTE=Captain Fred Archer;532644]Hey Ace...how'd you rig that shirt? Also, does the rigging start at the neck, or one of the arms? And here I thought that "clothes lining" was an NFL thing!
Thanks to all for the kind words on the bars. I hope that more back in your neck of the woods find out about them and get to see them do their thing and catch a bunch of fish on them. Meantime, the new model based on the mighty Joshter's input are on the way. We're calling them "The JT Specials", but I dunno, though, maybe we should call those, "The Wild Wabbit Special"!
Gotta give credit where credit is due, ya know? And the dude is a fer shur Wascawi Wabbit!

Buckwheat,
Long time, no hear. As a past Gashouse Gang fan, I can't forget that moniker (I do have trouble with my own name nowadays, and forget it each morning, but I have it written down next to my computer and when I see that, I remember, "Oh, yeah, Fred...Fred Archer, that's it!")
We are in the final design stages of the JT bars and although it can never be said for sure exactly how long things like that will take, my guess is that we will have it all wrapped up in a matter of days. I will get into the details on what is different about them when we are finished, but I can tell you now that they are basically a bit tougher version of some of our existing products, which Josh has had great success with.
Stay tuned, Buckwheat...and say hello to Spanky for me.

"Ohtay"? Jeezum, Buhwhee, you're a kick and a half! And you do know the gang, too.
Did you know that Spanky grew up (well, sorta) to become a bass fishing guide in Texas who did some TV shows? True!
I think he was the original idea behind Cartman of South Park, the modern, potty-mouthed version, that is.
It's a great day! I remembered my name when I got up this morning - and got up in the first place, which is great when you are living under a death sentence like I am - then I got to hear your "ohtay" and those names that evoke such great memories. I can hear the theme song playing in my head as I write this...or is that Joe Cocker at Woodstock? Be sure to scroll down to that board down near the bottom of the site and check out the video about that. Absolutely hilarious!
Thanks, Buhwee!
Chris left last night with what we hope are the final versions of those JT's. They have to be water tested - that's policy here, just so we can confirm their performance, speed ranges, and stuff like that, not to see if they catch fish...we already know how they do there. But we don't make a change in an existing product or bring a new one along until we have actually run it various ways, video taped that, and archived it for comparisons if we ever feel that we need them. It's been that way since my earliest days of developing bars and lures and will stay that way after I'm gone. It can be a pain-in-the-neck, but hey, it's the right way to do things and a great excuse to do a little fishing and with water at our Mexican and California doorsteps, all that we need is an excuse for our first love.
(You'd love our "labs" down in La Paz and the incredible Magdalena Bay! Oh mercy, would you!)
Ohtay, BuhWee, see ya at the box car races!
PLEASE BEWARE OF COMPANIES WITH SIMILAR LOGOS AND NAMES. THERE IS ONLY ONE ORIGINAL...

BuWhee,
JT and Chris have had a meeting and have finalized the JT Specials and we are in initial production on them. We actually have a goodly number of orders for them from folks who have ordered them sight unseen and even without final pricing (thank you for your faith in us), so there will be some lead time involved, but not too much.
PM me with your email and I will go over the details with you and even provide you with some pictures. The boys did a great job on them and I sure would like to run them myself!
We used the original spreader bars with 12 7" squids and a white chase bait this past wednesday in Hatteras and caught 20 blackfin on them in about 1 1/2 hours. We only had one in the spread, the rest of the spread was sea witches and naked ballyhoo. We quit fishing for them because we could only troll for 5 seconds to 2 mintues before we had another hit. i look forward to your new improved products, but I can't help but wonder, how much better can it get?
