òk, hi all

need ur feddback on this:

theres a fishing competition with 4 "legs"

lets say I dont get in the 1st one and i get in the last 3 and i WIN it all if i get the minimal points that the last boat got. (theres no such thing as 0 points in this case as the last boat got about half of the 1st place)

I didnt participate on the first one so I didnt pay the money to get in for the first leg.

Heres the thing , i didnt think i would win so i didnt care about the 1st points but now they are important.

Since this is a competition and we are fishing fellas we are here to fish and we want the more boats possible. In theory the minimal points would not matter at all but in my case it does matter.

I need to defend my case now with the "organization" but i would like to hear some feedback on this.

I'm involved with a multi leg series and base points are awarded for entering. Then more for entering each event. Then More points for actually finishing.
The big points are awarded for your placing in each event so missing one although it hurts really doesn't matter that much.

If I was in a golf tournament which was 4 rounds...and sat out the first because of whatever reason...I would have been DQ'ed before the 2nd, 3rd & 4th rounds...and out my entry fee.

Was it outlined in the rules that all four legs must be fished? Can't make rules on the fly...well, that is unless the script and cue-cards said it's OK.

If you didn't enter the first leg I can't see how you could expect to get points for it.
