fishing was painfully slow last week during the tournament, two blues won it and both caught on the first day. but they are a few bills around as some of the boys caught a few on the way up and the way down but just not much action during the tournament.
Whats up Haus,
My wife and I went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon and fished one day with the Hackshaw guys. I believe there are just two charters on the island. It was our first offshore adventure. Went mid sept. and fishing was really slow for us. The boat came and picked us up at Ti Kaye were we stayed which was nice, but we didnt get lines out till late. We only hooked up with a small cuda and a small spanish mack. My wife had which we think was a decent king on, but pulled off. I am not trying to bash anyone here, but I kinda got the feeling that we were just aimlessly trolling in the general area. I talked to the captain about what we were looking for as breaks or anything and he told me that we were gonna troll the area and then try to look for some trash and weedlines. It was awsome to see the island from the water and the water is beautiful. They did have a nice marlin realease a couple of day pior. I believe it was around 500lbs. Were we stayed was close to a local fishing village Anse le Ray. If you can talk to some of the local fisherman some of them are willing to take you out on their small wooden boats and hand line with them. Wish I would have had done that as well, but ran out of time.
Anyway just my exp and opion. Hope this helps. By the way the local beer Piton is great!!
