Need some help from the florida guys

I'm writing a term paper and its on the gulf stream. I need to the know the approximate depth of the Florida Straits?

The stream covers some days beach stateside to beach Island side some days. Between say south east Flordia and the bahamas its bottoms out at roughly 2400-2600 feet. Belownear cuba it drops to 6000+.

The axis (center ) meanders some days close to our side some days close to there. I have seen the stream run as fast as 6+ Knots but usually 3-4...
