    need some help

I am setting up my anchor system for the canyons.. Last year I fished with a guy who used a friends anchor line.. it was two 800 feet lines connected with what looked to me to be a clam shell with fingers... two halves spliced into the ends once connected to each other made the line 1600' and the anchor ball slid right down over the spliced ends with no problem.. I have treid to find this equipment and can not - Maybe someone out here knows what I am speaking about????

    got it

Fisherman's supply i think it is in point pleasant. I think you are talking about two brass shackles that only fit together one way so you can connect 2 shots of line.

Bluewaterdave.. Thanks I figured they would be the place to find it!!

I have two "hampers" fish laundry type baskets.. I use 3/8 line so it does not take up that much room.. since i am setting up in fair to great weather it is fine.. This is custom made for the fall protection industry and has a tensil min breaking weight of 4200 lbs.. I wanted 600' for anything insure and the 1200 for deeper wreck fishing once combined I am good to go in 600' on the ledge if needed..
I could always do the pot thing!! Just kiddin!!
