Need Information

Im intending on fishing offshore this year out of Ocean City Maryland. Can anyone provide info on how far off I will have to travel to catch Dolphin & Tuna. Also any location info would be helpfull.

You CAN catch them 13-20 miles off at and between the twin wrecks and the fingers (bluefin and dolphin) but have alot better shot going deeper. The fish are in a different area everyday there but this is usually the closest you will find the bluefin/dolphin and their numbers usually suck... and the fish are usually smaller. The other deeper lumps, and canyons are your best bet... at 35-63 miles

The Jack spot is about 21 miles out, it holds fish sometimes. I fish alot of the time around the Hambone, Hot dog and Massys canyon that are 30 to 40 miles out. Check out all the reports you can before going to get a idea what direction to head. If conditions are good you can find Tuna, White Marlin and Dolphin within 40 miles sometimes closer and sometimes you have to go to the canyons 60 or so miles.
If you are prepared to go at least 40 miles you can ussually find something for pullage.
