Need advice for Tuna trolling
I have fished many years inshore but I have just purchased a new 28' Pro Cat with twin 200's and would like to fish offshore for tuna. I need some advice as to what type of trolling gear and how to best spread them out and at what trolling speed? I intend to use 4-5 rods. I just moved to Mystic Island, NJ and have not yet befriended anyone with offshore experience.
I thank anyone for their advice.

I think a good thing to do to be honest would be fish a couple trips on a boat like Canyon Runner or Over Under or any good boat. But tell them you want to learn and get advice.
Canyon runner also does the seminars witch are a great help.
Im not sure if you can buy the books that they give out or not but you can contact Adam on here and ask.
Next my best advice would be keep it simple.
Ballyhoo and a spreader bar down the middle.
If you are not good at rigging baits maybe pick a common lure that always has worked for years. Once you start learning you can add things in and test.
Im sure others on here can give you great advice as im no pro. But keeping it simple has helped me find my style.
