deep c, the teasers will stay at the dock. your argument aligns with Circus Act's on the florida sportsman forum; given the few raises and even fewer bites that may occur, it's best to have a hook on the blue's object of attention.

if there are likely to be skippies and BFTs, what can i do, if anything, to avoid their hitting my baits?

what's your schedule like in january? will you be in south florida or in the bahamas? i've got clients coming in from latin america and they'll enjoy a charter with you. regards,

Skippies and blackfins ought to ignore the big baits you should be dragging... Should be no issue... You may consider keeping a little 3-4" lure in the wash though just to show you when you're in the lively area...

Mid January we will be fishing a tournie in the Bahamas and will be leaving the big boat there. Its still up in the air if we will be doing more fishing after the tournie there or if I'll come back to Florida and run the 31... Or my Albemarle...
