Need Advice On A Bait Tank / Bag

Just picked up an 89 Albemarle 24 express. The interior is pretty spartan with limited space. Was looking into a transom bait bag. Aquaworld has a 28 gallon bag that hangs on the transom. http://www.livebaitlarry.com/index.p...bffm5j6qj1bnt4

Do they work well ? is the 240 pounds hanging on the transom an issue ? I have a raw water in hull pickup that I could use. The other option would be a round or oval 30 gallon tank behind the passenger seat or in the center of the cockpit. Limited space with the engine box is the issue.
    Appreciate any help.
    Thanks

that bag has too many corners.....bait will bunch up in them and die. You are much better off getting a round or oval well and strapping it in a corner.

I am faced with similar problem on new (to me) 28' custom. I think I am going to pop an oval bait tank and a couple of bonito tubes onto the swim platform

Looks like no one really likes the bait bag. So it looks like a 32 gallon oval tank either behind the passenger chair, in the center of the cockpit leaving enough room for the engine hatch to open or installing a mini swim ladder on the transom for the tank. I think the best balanced would be in the center of the cockpit but the plumbing would be a pain as the fuel tank is below and would have to run the water hoses on top of the fuel tanks.

A friend of mine has a 27 ft Albemarle and he has a round tank behind the passenger seat next to the raw water washdown.

Go with a round or oval. Google, live bait larrys, they have a big selection of tanks at great prices.
