    Name Dropping

Who are some of the FISHING GREATS that you have had the opportunity to meet ? And what was your impression?

Not bragging, but I have met so many. One thats stands out in my mind was a man named Glen Loude (not even sure of the last name spelling).

Glen is a photographer/film producer that has been in the fishing industry for many years. Glen chartered me via Flip Pallot to do some tarpon shots for a magazine I guess, I'm not sure. But what a time we had. We had 3 boats, 3 camera guys and a ton of equipment for a 2 day charter. They shot all day for 2 solid days, probably 10,000 stills. Anyway he probably doesn't even remember me, but the professionalism and knowledge this man has is just unbelievable. A true professional and artist by all means.

    Captain Brian THE BEAST Harringon.

One of the best Captains on the East Coast. He can find the fish like no other person I know. Not only can he do it at the helm........he can run the pit better then anyone else I know too.

He is one of hardest working people I know. A perfectionist down to every detail. He has taught me more then anyone else ever has. He is a family man and a great friend. I am proud to know him.

I've been fishing with Captain Ray Parker on the hobo many times. I think he will be 87 years old this year when we gho out with him. If I'm right he's held a USCG license longer than anyone else on the east coast. Not only will he put you on the fish but he has great stories. It's hard to beleive when I fish with him that he was at Iwo jima. Everytime I talk to ray he is sharp as a tack and he's forgot more about fishing in wachapreague and stuart florida than most people know. He is a true legend. Hope I can still be climbing that tower to the flybridge when Im in my 80's.

They don't have to be "famous". We have some of the best Captains, mates, film makers, lure builders and anglers in the world. Whoever or whatever, they just need to be great in your eyes.
