Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
N.E. Run and Gun Tournament
There is a outboard offshore fishing tourney this weekend out of Oak Bluffs that has new sponsorship. This was originally being put on by the Boston Big Game Club, but the guy bailed so Rob from Yellowfin has picked it up. Sponsors stepping in to help on short notice are Yellowfin, Offshore Innovations, J and B Tackle and Madfish outfitters. They have jumped in to help keep this tournament alive. We have seven boats confirmed with more than a thousand dollars per boat in prize money. The plan will be $300 per boat entrance. All entrance money will be going to prize money with a couple bucks going to a beer / food fund. No one is taking home money except for tournament winners. Any one interested fishing or helping should contact Rob 978-808-0347. Should be really fun. ANYONE GAME????

Is it an all species tournament? When are the fishing days?

BBG is no longer running this tournament? Is the tourney still being held in OB the same weekend along with the Top Gun?

BBFC dropped the tournament so I have picked it up. We plan to do at least one day (weather permitting) offshore multi species. the other day we will probably go east and do a Bluefin day. I should have the details worked out tonight. there are slips available and I have one extra room at the Westley (they may have more) if people are interested in doing this tournament. $300.00 entry all money will go to prize money and food/beer fund. Rob give me a shout if interested 978-808-0347

Well weather worked out to be very nice. Thanks to those came up its was a great time.
Congrats to "Gekko" for winning. Seth moved from third to first by getting off the dock early on day two. (most of the other crews left a little late). This made all the difference. Seth and crew headed east and got two blue releases worth 30 point each just as the other teams arrived on spot. The am bite was over and "Wreckless" was now bumped out of first. They stayed all day trying to regain first, unfortunately for them the bite was early and it did not return. Team "Getaway" also ran east, however, suffering from steering issues, they were "forced" to seek refuge in Nantucket Boat Basin. They returned safely back to OB a little on the late side but with great stories of Bloody Marry's, etc. Good guy's who wouldn't let little things like steering or weather keep them from having a good time. Thanks to all those that participated and to the sponsors for the outstanding last minute help. Yellowfin, J&B Tackle, Mad Fish, and Offshore Innovations. Rob
