Myrtle Beach area fishing

Heading down that way the last week of march, first week of april. My father has a small mako that we usually hit the inshore reefs with but looking to expand a little bit. Wondering what is biting at that time willing to split a charter
since it will only be the two of us all options open. Thanks in advance.

thats kind of a tough time. AJ's and some other assorted bottomfish. Wahoo in the stream are hit or miss. Late April is when it really gets started.

King mackerel are usually chewing good at that time, as well as black seabass, aj's, triggers, grunts, etc. If you want to go the stream, there is usually a good wahoo and blackfin bite, as well as a few mahi starting to show. Thanks guys, i appreciate the info. my wife came home and told me they tok away most of her spring break (shes a teacher) because of all of the snow days. so i may be flying solo which will give me more time to fish.

Call the Ocean Isle Fishing Center for the best update on the fishing. I believe they also run charters out of there. It is about 20-30 minutes north of myrtle beach.
