That sounds like a great idea dude. My girl and I travel a ton, and have recently been looking into Panama. I want to find some place that is nice for her, safe, spa, etc, and that has great fishing for me. Unfortunately I haven't found anything like that that is remotely affordable. Sounds like I'd better keep an eye on your project.

Please keep this thread going and update it as you are making progress, I think a lot of people would find it interesting.

36 acres? Are there any plans to sub-divide in the future?

Thanks again for sharing.

Hey shoefish,

I imagine there will be some type of subdivide/timeshare thing eventually.

I know our goal is to develop in the most environmental way possible, you wont see 40 condo's on our property that's for sure.

we were thinking of maybe 8-10 villa/homes that people would own and rent out to clients etc...who knows thats a ways away at this point though.

Our spa will be limited in the beggining, mostly just message, facial treatments and the such, but we will have a sick oasis pool..mark my words on that so?? Although there is a place called Boquete' about two hours drive away up in the mountains that has all the spa your wife could handle That leaves you open for drinking and fishing Hell well send my wife up with her

I will update as I go along and try to give people and outlook on what we are doing and how it is done...I am sure the mistakes will be lengthy and that always helps the next person...

Curtis

Are you asking if it's OK to update for the next few months this thread (or create new ones) about your project? Of course it's OK

John and I would love to see you posting regular fishing reports from Panama soon

UPDATE

A quick update, no photos sorry....

Just had the entire top of our property set up for clearing down a bit as with rainy season it is growing like wildfire, from ankle high in May to over your head in July

Here's the cool part though. We hired 4 Local guys with machete's and for $150 they cleared BY HAND AND MACHETE' at least 20 acres of land in like 4 or 5 days

I will post some more pics as soon as I can..
