do you coat head with epoxy to protect the shell and nose seams?

how are you finishing nose (front face) more shell or the preform head is bare.?
Thanks a lot canyongear, I learn many from you.
    infact I need someone oppnion.

this is not resin coated yet, I want shell most superficial
if this shell broken then I am think some other improvement.
because shell less scrach then resin.

about nose finishing I am think also shell like this.

but will show you when this finished.
I will use small turbo shell to make concave.

Very nice looking heads. Any chance you have any detailed pics of working the shell from raw to the finished shape?

Thanks panhandle, after 10 lures, my finger get hard time.
probably I use temporary methods use. and I didn't take picture. maybe if I make more I can make better then this.

about shell work, I use hard paper make octagonal shape or round for guide line for shell plate. if I am plan for make many
I suppose use permanent guide like wood or plastic use.

after cutting shell with disk, join together at preform guide use rubber band.
then you can see margin ajustment for fitting each plate.

after glue all plate, then grind out shell cover, until out layer remove.

I guess some method need improve if I am plan to make many.
