I just got back from a trip to the edge, and ahd to share how psyched I am!!!! I went out to the Baltimore with some friends and we went 2 for 2 on whites. I've been trolling tuna spreads for years, but have never got a white. Well today was my day. The first spot we hit had great water(78) and we had a white come up and hit the dredge and then owner of the boat grabbed the short left rod and dumped it back and the fight was on, so I watched and listened and got ready for my turn. Well after that we got covered up in $*^%$* birds!!, everywhere we went they followed. I would have given anything for a shotgun. So we gave up and moved on the advice of a friend, well when we arrived, beautiful blue 80 degreee water, game on!
So we set the spread and trolled for awhile, and I'm sittin there and see something like a stike pop up by the flatline bait. Am I seein thing?? bbbbBBiiilllFISH!! I stammered out. I stepped up and grabbed the rod and wnet through everything my friends had drilled into me Wait let eat... Sting'em!! and the fight was on. When that fish was on the line and it greyhounded about 15 yards back, it was the second most beautiful thing I've seen. The first being Ladyangler on our wedding day!!( big time kissin up but she deserves it!! So that was my best day fishin todate, now to get Ladyangler her first billfish ![]()
