    My First Marlin

So, I dont know about you, but I'm pretty happy right about now.

First, I fish off a 25' Grady White CC on the norm.

My neighbor then asked me to go out with him on a 58' Charter boat, all expense paid. I dreamed about doing that ever since I saw the boats. Now it was a reality

Second, I caught my first marlin today. I have been offshore fishing for 3 years now, caught a decent amount of tuna, blue and yellow, gigantic wahoo, nice dolphin and seen a lot of cool shit.

BUT, I really dont think anything was as cool as having a white marlin at the side of the boat, reviving it to fight another day as it dove back into the deep.

I feel as if I can call myself a sportfisherman now, saying I actually caught the fish I wear on my shirts

Good Work!! Now be ready to spend twice as much money and time trying to catch another one. Then another. And another BIGGER one. It really never ends! Damn Marlin will ruin you!

It is an addiction - and the toys are expensive

But there is no feeling like your first marlin - Until you catch the next one... Congrats.
