Multiple agencies search for missing teenager in Rappahannock River

WARSAW, Va. — Coast Guard, state and local agencies are searching for a 14-year-old male last seen falling from a sandbar into the Rappahannock River in the vicinity of Suggetts Point, Va., Saturday.

The teenager was part of a Boy Scout troop spending the weekend on the river.

Involved in the search are personnel from Coast Guard Station Milford Haven, Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, Coast Guard Auxiliary, U.S. Fish and Game, Virginia Marine Resources Commission, Richmond County Fire Rescue, Richmond County Sheriff Department, Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries and the Mattaponi Volunteer Dive Team.
