Most Expensive piece of Gear you have Lost

ok I am getting kind of bored with the threads, so i thought this was would be fun, (Not that it was fun when it happened) but it is something to talk about!!.

What is the most expensive thing, or anything that was important to you, that vanished into the deep on a day or night offshore.......

I lost an 800 dollar aquaracer wrist watch, that a link fell out of when i was so conveniently reaching over the gunwale..... and NUMEROUS pairs of expensive shades

    anyone less fortunate than me?

I had an auto pilot upper station unit up on the tower. The nuts fell out and I of course never inspected it for security. Hit a wave and the entire until came up and over the side. I heard the clunk but never thought to look where the unit was. When I went up to the tower I realized it was gone. Just a wee bit pissed.

I lost a blue and crystal Islander once that was HOT it out caughyt all the other blue and crystal ones I had. I told this guy to hold it behind me as I cut the leader he gives hi fives and forgot to hold it. It slid past my head and into the water in slow motion. The lure was priceless.

Do props from broken shafts count??

How about Giant Bluefin Tuna from broken leaders?

I tossed Spencer's (Robbie) wife, screen name ill Jill's Mariah Carey or some other such crap (could have been J-lo, I had been drinking at the time, so recollection is blurry) CD overboard, and that was a priceless moment.

Tiagra 50 and rod, used twice. Was fishing solo, gaffed a big dolphin and missed the rod holder attempting to put the rod in it...grabbed the line only to see it freespool to the bottom

Brand new Garmin handheld GPS that somehow vanished while at the farm hunting one weekend. I kept thinking it would turn up in my truck or at the house somewhere but it never did. I had only had it for about 4 days

My wife dropped an $800 camera in while we were chasing stripers in Robinson's Hole.... If anyone wants to dive for it, I'll provide the numbers....
