Sat we had the eric seitz Charter out for a Shark trip. we ran to the 25 Fathom Fingers and found Clear green water 72 degrees. We had Bluefish in the slick all day long. later that morning a mako attacks my middle float and gets tangled in my 80 lb. mono. It thrasehes it's tail and cuts the line! We also had a big Shark break water 20' behind the boat. no other takers.
Today we had the Peter anami charter out and again we hit the 25 fathom fingers a few miles east of yesterdays spot. we founf clear warm 73 degree water. We were invaded by blues right away but we had no wind for a slow drift. at 10 am the middle bait set at the thermocline at 60' gets nailed. i set the hook and gave the rod to peter. he was in for the battle of his life! after a spirited 30 minute battle Complete with 3 areial displays we sunk the gaffs into a beefy 165 lb. threshewr. poetes first. Some nice steaks for the BBQ!
Tight Lines!
