Morehead City Fishing Report 5-10 Bluewater Lady

Had the James Turnage party today. They had been bottom fishing out of Morehead City a few times before, but never an offshore trolling trip. The run out was a little swelly. Orignal plan was to head south, but we headed south east to give them a more comfortable ride. Lines in at 8:00 AM. Seas laid out a little later and made for a perfect day. Pretty much all the dolphin you wanted and some blackfin tuna. Several dropped fish untill the party got the hang of it. 12:00 headed out to the deep to look for a blue.About 1:30 we saw one jumping. Circled the area and saw him jump 4 more times, but could not get him to bite. Got covered up with the gaffers and went 4 for 5. Headed back inshore and put out the planer which we did not pull all day. Picked up a small wahoo and one more gaffer. Thanks for the party donating the tuna to the boat.

is that the bluewater lady (bertram) that used to be kept in the canyon club in cape may for alot of years about 12 years ago, owner was from newtown square pa i think.

Same boat. Had her going on 9 years now. Bought it from a friend of mine who owned it for a little over a year. Name never changed.
