There is an abundance of bait this year. It seems to be everywhere! There are huge amounts of bait both west and east of Beaufort Inlet and all the way from the Sea Bouy to Northwest Places, Big Ten Little ten and the Knuckle Bouy. There are also huge amounts of bait on the eastside of the Cape Lookout shals and going north toward Drum Inlet.

Let me make an adjustment on the bait situation. There has been plenty of bait around all this fall. There has been more bait west of the Beaufort Inlet and on the eastside of the Cape Lookout shoals. Lately there have been smaller pods of bait and has been more spread out east and south east of the Beaufort Sea Bouy.

    SATURDAY & SUNDAY FISHING CAROLINA

HERE IS MY LATEST EXPERIENCE WITH THE GIANTS

AS JOE STATED.....3 FISH WERE TAKEN SATURDAY....MAYBE A DOZEN BOATS FISHED (APPX)................I NOTICED 4 SAILDOG FLAGS ON THE IMPULSE SATURDAY NIGHT AND I KNOW FOR CERTAIN THAT "TROPHY SPORTFISHING " CAUGHT 3 SAILDOGS TO THE SOUTHERN AT WB AS WELL....GLENN W & TUNA TAXI HAD A WAHOO AND KINGS I THINK...THIS WAS ALL THIS PAST SATURDAY.........AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT THE BISCUIT DID ON THE LIVE BOTTOM SOUTH

GOTTAFLYLEE IS STROKING THE TROUGHT REGULAR AND THE WEATHER WAS MILD....LIGHT AND SLIGHT

YESTERDAY....BLUEWATER LADY CHARTERS AND MYSELF TOOK A FATHER SON TEAM IN SEARCH OF THE GIANTS......I INFORMED THEM THAT IT WOULD BE A HERO OR ZERO THING.....AND THEY SAID WITH A SMILE....LET'S ROCK N ROLL AND TRY IT

I COUNTED 9 RIGS FISHING AROUND THE TRAWLER BUOY.....A COUPLEM WERE CENTER CONSOLES......AND THE OTHERS WERE CHARTER BOATS....I SEEN THE RUN-OFF AND FIGHTIN LADY THERE AS WELL.

RIGHT AFTER FRIST GRAYLIGHT ....BUDDY HARRIS ON THE "OFFSHORE 3" HOOKED UP AND ANOTHER BOAT AS WELL......BUDDY HARRIS KILLED HIS AND THE OTHER FISH WAS SHORT AND RELEASED....THERE WAS PLENTY OF BAIT AND CAPT JOE STATED AND A GOOD SHOWING OF FLIPPER CHASING IT....I DID SEE ONE EXPOSION OFF THE BOW WHICH I THOUGHT MAY HAVE BEEN A CRASHING GIANT......

ZERO FOR THE BWL THIS TIME WITH ONE FAT ALBERT ATTACK

I NOTICED A MASSIVE AMOIUNT OF BIRDS WORKING JUST OUTSIDE THE INLET AS WE DEPARTED THE SWELLY *****.........JUST PAST THE JETTIES AND OFF "ROUGH POINT"..........MMMMM......I CAUGHT A SLOB THERE AND RELEASED HIM 10 YRS AGO WITH "EMTAE" ON BOARD WITH ME.....30 FT OF WATER.......I WONDER IF WE OVERRAN SOME FISH SUNDAY

LIGHT AND SLIGHT THE NEXT 3 DAYS

Fins & Feathers, I can help you out with any rigging that you may need. I have plenty of horse ballyhoo as well. Our Fish Finder 3 oz. skirts with mylar have already claimed their fair share of the tuna's. We can set you up with all the hot colors. Yesterday there were 4 tuna taken to the docks as well as a few more shorts released. There has already been a short released today but it is still early!

    Capt. Joe
