Morehead city

I'm taking some time off the 2nd week of april to fish out of morehead city.i've never been there before and was hoping to get some advise,#'s or any infothat will help a buddy has family in newport area and thats where we will be staying.any advise on ramps in that area would be helpful.by looking at the map it looks like beaufort would be easy acess.

<P>Capt. Denny, The best ramp is just down from MFD and where the Welcome center is. Great ramp. As far as #s if you are planning on fishing offshore, the bottom just north of "Big Rock" or just offshore of there is a good bet but it will some what depend on where the water is, check your SST chart...<IMG alt=0 src="http://www.sportfishermen.com/board/images/smilies/smile.gif" border=0 smilieid="1"> </P>

Echo that .... get yourself on the wahoonbox forum and introduce yourself, search, and ask questions. A ton of the guys that frequent that forum such as myself fish out of M.C. or Atlantic Beach.
