    Morehead BFT bite heats up

Todays BFT fishing off Morehead City was very good. The bluefin bite was the best it has been all year. Plenty of boats were hooking up and a good number of fish were brought in to the fish houses. I am not sure how many fish were brought in , some estimates were over 12 fish. May be we will have better numbers later today.

Pretty work to the guys out there giving them hell.

I've heard that if you ever wanted to get one now is the time to your nose out in the slop and get fishing!!

After hearing the reoprts for a few anglers that came in to replace what they had lost , everyone seems to think that there were between 18 and 24 fish taken to the docks today. That is pretty good fishing! Sounds like tommorrow will be a little bumpy but Friday and Sat. look very good. I hope everyone has good luck and catches one..

Congratulations to Jeff Garner on the "Yellowfin" out of Morehead City. Today was Jeff's first trip of the year. Had battery problems and left the dock late. Jeff went 3 for 3, all legal fish with the biggest one coring out at over 440lb. Way to go Jeff!
