Cool pics Tim. The closest I have ever been to the keys was Marco Island and Always wanted to chum yellotails on light gear. Definetely on my to-do list!!
Are those blue parrot fish I saw in the other thread common to catch or was that a rare by-catch? Fish had amazing color.

Personally never developed a taste for kings - cooked, raw, or whatever. But hoo baby, I sure did used to love those yellowtails on the table. Snappers are good stuff too. Yum!

We sent the kingies to the smoke house for smoked fish dip. To me I grew up eating blue fish, so kingies i find to be average for the table. I eat them but they have to be only a day or two, Garlic, and Italian seasoning on an extremely hot grill.
Hoos all day long, especially the belly of a large one, The japanese can keep the toro. I'll eat Hoo belly like candy. Those yellowtails are special though, good eats
