Does anyone know of a paint that works? I made two last year. One was painted, the krylon paint and never dried. It looked just like a tuna. The other one was made using silver tape. Two trips and the tape looked bad.

I would also very much like to know a paint that works!! I am going to make several more this year and I don't want to paint them until I have the right paint. |

Sharpee?
First off, I've got to give a huge amount of credit and thanks to Captain Fred. Your writing stye is clear and comprehensive and I thank you for sharing any of the knowledge that you have gained over the years. I think the Toad is a great idea that I know I'm going to give a shot.
Second, has anyone tried a sharpee to "paint" the Toad? I've used them to write the name of my boat on the fenders and anchor ball - it seems to stay well and should be quick and easy. It won't come out as nice as a custom paint job - but does it need to? Buy a pack of colors and go to town... Has anyone tried it? What do you think?

I have fished with one over the past few years with good success when we pull the teaser...
As far as paint is concerned, you can try two things to help the paint stick.. Fist you could just scuff the bumper with some sand paper, this will help take off the mold release agent used in the production of the bumpers.. Or you could try some solvents to get rid of the mold releasing agent.. Many release agents are a petroleum based product so a carb cleaner should do the trick.. Once the outside of the bumper is cleaned or scuffed mosta ll paint should adhere to the surface... |

I’m painting myne with auto paint I think we
were using a lot of Nissan colors that time. I think it’d be much easier to buy the fender colored and work eyes an accents from there. http://www.overtons.com/modperl/prod...&cname=Fenders T |
