Mid Atlantic 500,000 report

We fished our first day yesterday and for 1 reason or another we managed to miss 4 whites in our first hour of fishing. We finaly ended up catching 1 at 1:00 and that was it for us on day 1. We took a pounding on the way home and were down to 14 knots for about 3 hours. When we hit the inlet at 8:00 PM we blew 1 of the turbos on our stbd engine and has left us at the dock today . We were able to find a turbo in Texas and we bought it a plane ticket on Southwest Air and it will be arriving in Philadelphia at 7:20 tonight . Looks like we will have to try for a last day victory.

On a better note, today is Marty's birthday so hopefully we can give him a good present tomorrow night at the awards dinner. Happy birthday BIG DOG.

Couldn't you guys have transfered to another boat so as not to miss a fishing day? I think it may be in the rules that you can do that but I'm not sure. Does anybody know.

they could have but the weather was too shitty for they boat they had reserved. If they have to use another boat tomorrow I think he told me they have it taken care of.

If the forcast was better we would have been fishing the Bunkerhead which is a 28 footer but after the pounding we took on the ride home and the forcast for today we knew it would be impossable to get out today. If for some reason we don't get our turbo issue solved tonight we have a 43 foot Egg Harbour named Wild Life Management for backup boat tomorrow.
