on another note... it looks like oc is beating cape may in the bait tournament...
because alot of boats didnt fish today because of the weather, if a boat gets a spot for a day they could possibly win some money you never know....on the first day weigh every fish you have

Until the leader board is filled up, weigh everything. Many a time I have heard about the fish that would have ended up in the money, but got cleaned.

Didn't a 20 something dolphin win in the WMO this year?

Great coverage Admin and Squiddy Bill.

Weigh 'em all

I've covered a few of these tournaments, and I've seen it happen where someone weighed in a fish that originally they weren't going to ... and then won money.

Just like they say about the lottery, you gotta be in it to win it.

Plus some of these guys just get a thrill out of backing down and weighing something in, no matter what it is.

(Hey John Hope you got some rest last week. Paperwork is on its way.)

Coverage of the MA 500 and The White Marlin open has both been great.

the Mahi ??? You never know

but the Tuna is probably because of this...
On the Board Reward • This bonus pays out each time you have a fish on the scoreboard in the folloing categories
at the official close of each day’s weigh-in.

Heaviest White Marlin, 2nd and 3rd • Heaviest Blue Marlin, 2nd and 3rd
Heaviest Tuna, 2nd and 3rd

The total purse will be divided by 5 (5 days). Each day’s purse will be split evenly among those winning for that day. If there are no winners for a particular day, the un-won prize money will be split evenly among the purses of the remaining days. In the event that there are no winners on the last day (Friday), the un-won prize money will be evenly split among the previous 4 day’s winners. If there are no winners for the entire week, the money will be refunded.
Example: Let’s say the total purse for the On the Board Reward is $200,000.00. That figure would be divided by 5 (5 days) giving each day a purse of $40,000. Those who are in this Calcutta and remain on the board at the end of each days weigh-in will evenly split the purse for that day. If there is only one winner, he would take the entire $40,000.00. Two winners would get $20,000.00 each and so on.
