I let my 8 year old cousin run em up. A flag per released billfish and a single of each meat species caught.

WHO CARES!!! Have fun and do whatever you like!!!! That's what its all about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
I'm with Fred and Jer. If you catch the clap or crabs it should be the law to fly the flag to alert folks to your contagious condition.

Let's set the standard now that you have to fly a flag for every fish you catch and buy all your flags at alltackle.com. What a great idea.
What is the reason you would NOT fly flags? And why is it funny? Just asking.
I say fly them and be proud of your catches. Without being obvious, there is obviously no right or wrong in flying them. Obviously!![]()
I'm a charter boat (part time) and do not fly meatfish flags....fly billfish flags only although there was a time several years ago that I did fly meatfish flags (NEVER more than one dolphin flag) in OC. Then the marina or somebody got weird and decided no more than 6 tuna flagsEither you caught 'em or you didn't...and if you did, fly 'em if you want. I decided I would just let my charters and the heap we throw on the dock do the talking...which this year hasn't talked much! One more thing....I have never flown a meatfish flag in Carolina in the 15 years or so I have fished my boat there. Oops, another thing...whoever made the comment about running them all the way to the top of the rigger is dead on....just looks weird.
Hoo needs meat flags when you can just trown them on the dock.
We fly the worst pair of monkey ass boxers after a good tuna trip with no billfish, the locals know we had a good meat trip when they see the boxers hanging from the center rigger since they don't deserve the outrigger position. just our way.
