I'm considering fixing my almost new bycicle, adding a car antenna, going to the beach with it and fly a catfish flag when going back home. I'm damn proud of every fish -- or crab -- I catch.

Just look at his second post on this thread it says it all. I don't have respect for people that say something that is going to get this type of response and then put their hands up and say "I just asked a question". Be a man and start the thread with your feelings thats all.

I just thought it would be a good topic for a forum such as this one. I'm not trying to be-little anyone who flys a flag. If you want to fly a flag, you have every right to. I am damn proud of a meat-fish too. Dolphin are my favorite fish and I am ecstatic to catch a big bull. Just wanted to hear what other people thought about it. It seems to be a pretty touchy subject for some though. I appreciate everyone's input.

Frequent flyer. I fly 'em all. But not lately. The fishing stinks.

I generally only fly billfish flags, but have no problem with meat flags. Just keep them 1/2-3/4 up the rigger. Flags all the way up the top of the rigger drive me crazy, not sure exactly why??? But they do.

Just remember to fly the flags upside down for the fish you release

I will fly flags for any fish we catch, its a personal preference and I know we always have fun letting the angler who caught what attach their own flag and run them up.

On the subject, the funniest thing I have ever heard of is some guy (who will remain nameless) caught a box full of peanuts and didnt have a dolphin flag. What did this nameless person do? Well they just ran a peanut up their rigger...classic

at least is wasnt a SQUID...who in this NATION would do something like that??

That would have been hilarious
i'm with you lance...if we caught somthing that day it's cool to show it off!..just not multiple dolphin flags... whats the difference if it's a meat fish or a bill fish? i would take a tuna any day of the week over a marlin i'm gunna let go any way.
