Meat-Fish Flags?

It really depends on your location - Some places fly flags for everything they catch - meat, sharks, bills, clap, etc...

In NC waters you don't see many meat flags...

Do what you want to do - There ain't no law either for or against it...

I had some young kids on the boat and they wanted me to fly the jolly roger after we had caught the first spanish... Of course I waited until we were in the inlet

It is all about fun and being able to brag a bit...

I fly-em and don't really care what other people think.... they go up on the way in and come down the next morning.

There are only a handfull of boats in my area that actually run offshore and everybody likes to see how the other boats did.

Charter boats go for it. If it sells a trip GREAT. Private boats leave them rags in the bag!!!

Why would you post this question? Why didn't you just write "it's stupid to fly meat flags" or are you to much of a pussy cat to do that. A lot of guys up north do it which you are obviously seeing in pictures form the tournaments. Next time man up and just state your feelings, don't hide behind a question.

actually, the only time I've seen em was down in Key West. Don't know if it was a charter guy or what..I think they could be cool in a tournament too with the different meat categories, or as one guy said a good advertisement for your charter boat. And I will state my feelings: You are a c*** s*****

I held back what I really wanted to say but at least I didn't call him a c*** s*****. If I wanted to call people out on what they did with their flags I would do just that and say it. I think you see my point as people answer this question.

My crew wanted to fly a shark flag for releasing blue sharks the other day. What do I care? Look how happy they are! Nice tuna, sharks released and a white. I am glad they were proud!

Lance, I am with you on one dolphin flag. Heck, we usually don't put up a dolphin flag unless it is hanging under something else.

Depends on the crew...I flew what ever they wanted flown on Saturday...of course the dolphin was at the bottom.

I think the charters dont fly flags cuz if the charter dont get any fish and they get back to the dock and all others are flying fags it would not be good for buisness in general.
Hey! this guy dont know what he is doing we are going with them next time....All charters want buisness and I think they want to work as a team and not insult one another..
