Massey Canyon 6/6

Fished Mako Mania with the Predator out of Indian River. Weather kept us home Friday. Saturday was a bit rough with lots of action. Released 20+ blue sharks and missed a good mako boatside and boated a small mako. Started at Massey Canyon with a stiff south west drift. Bites came all day. First time I have seen a "Mako Magnet" at work. The blue sharks where nudging and rubbing along side of the magnet all day. Small mako bite came from bait dangling right next to magnet.

Was not able to fish with boat on Sunday, but it sounded considerably slower with only one pull.

Thanks for the report.
I fished with a mako magnet a few times.
Drew in fish but couldn't get them to bite.
Take the magnet out they swam away.
Put it back in they came back.
Mostly Blue sharks tho.
Seemed they were more interested in the magnet than the baits.
