Most who are targeting Marlin are pulling at least one pin teaser off a cleat, either a 4 or 6 pin arrangement. In 2006 we shipped over 3,000 bowling pins and the two hottest colors? Bonita (blue/white) and Black/Purple.

When strictly white marlin fishing we usually pull two tandum dredges directly from the stern cleats with Hologra-fish baits or natural mullet and two rainbow squid bars from the teaser reels off the rigger.
Here are a couple pictures of whites that were somewhat interested in our squid bars.

Wow alltackle, that dredge looks absolutely SICK!
For sure you gonna have the whiteboys dryn to eat it up!![]()
If i can afford it ill put together something like this, but probably cant considering those lil mullets are so dam expensive![]()
How much weight do you think youll need to keep it down? Will you be pullin it off a downrigger, or dredge rod?
We use a 5 pound torpedo weight rigged on 400# mono with a squid over the weight. With a 20'-25' 400# leader, I normally use a cleat for this setup but sometimes I use a downrigger with a 10 pound cannonball. This year I am going to install a stainless pulley on my outrigger to get the dredge out in cleaner water.
