    Marlin Size Estimator from WMO

If i am not mistaken during registration for WMO last year, there was a Marlin Size Scale paper that was given out. It was basically a pivot table that showed length on one axis and then gave the approx girth/thickness on the other, which would then allow you to reasonablly calculate the weight....

    thanks...

Thanks much Brad. Was a hell of a fight.

Anyone happen to have that slip that was included in the bucket??

Pete - I have the slip in Baltimore and will bring it up next Friday. Also, there is a formula that you can use if you have a calculator. Adam knows it - I'm not sure exactly what it is. If you're doing what I think you're doing you're going to have a tough time guessing the girth on that blue

Congrats bud - fish of a lifetime.

Length x girth squared divided by 800 equals approx. pounds.
The easy way. Measure the circumference at the base of the tail. Each inch represents approx. 10#s. Not as accurate but will be close.

I think that tail guesser is 50 per inch... 20 inch is the "magic mark" for a grander. Think of a body builder with 20" biceps thats huge...
