    marlin moon phase

I was wondering...I currently have a trip planned to the Bahamas to do some offshore fishing the first week of May. This is the week leading up to the full moon. I realize that many feel that the week after the full moon is the best, so do you think it's worth re-scheduling and going the following week ? I just hate to take the chance because if it blows hard (wind) all week I will be kicking myself for not going the week before. What do the experienced Marlin fisherman in the islands think ?

In my experiences throughout the northern, eastern, central, and southern Bahamas, I haven't seen the moon have a great effect one side or the other of the full for marlin fishing. It's more about the bottom topography when marlin fishing there.

Now the Virgin Islands well to the south is a completely different story, as it's all about the moon.
