Marlin Fishing In Varadero, Cuba - advice and info needed
Hello,
Does anybody know about Marlin fishing in Varadero, Cuba? I am heading to Varadero within few weeks and would like to have some sport fishing experience.
Any providers, links, resources or whatever that might help to find the one day package in Varadero?

Julius, first let me welcome you to the board. There are a lot of great folks here to help you out. This Tread may be better off for you in Big Game Fishing World Wide Info & Fishing Reports section as it is about off shore. Cool that you are going to Cuba, are you looking to do any inshore fishing while you are there? Tell us a little about your self and what you like to fish for...again, welcome to the site.

Yep, your gonna need stitches
The last time I was in Cuba was in 2001, but I can say that it is not Los Suenos.
There are still blue marlin to be caught. You may want to bring line, lures and your own gear, as the tourist traffic from Europe was less than upscale and profitable capitalist undertakings like sport fishing were still frowned upon by the oligarchy.
I missed the Hemmingway Tournament by a day (Havana de Este, not Cojimar), but most of the participating boats seemed like they were Florida-based.
