Marlin fishing
Hello all I am new to saltwater fishing and trolling and I just wanted to see if I could get some tips for it. I am stationed in Guam now and have been for about a year. I caught my first Pacific Blue Marlin on the 30th of May this year and I am HOOKED for life. If anyone would like to send me tips or advice everything is greatly appreciated. My marlin was 160 pounds and it took us about 30-35 minutes to get him into the boat. I caught him on a ALL STAR custom 100# rod and a Penn 12/0 Senator with 80# line. Hope the best of luck to ya'll out there.

Sit down Shut up And fish
Jeremy checkout the thread Deep C made called marlin 101...there is some pretty good stuff there. If you have any specific questions I have been asking this same question to anyone I know here in Guam that catches marlin and am pretty much obsessed with it so I am starting to know more about fishing than being a corpsman....lol. I am going on leave 22 july until 28 july so we should go fishing. I am gonnna be going almost everyday.

Sit down Shut up And fish
according to a lot of the carter boat captains here that I talk to 300-400 fathoms seems to be the ticket to find em.
