March 21st Hatteras Report

Great day for KC and the Gang.

Fairly pretty spring day and it got prettier all day.

Started out on the troll, but no body was getting any bites, so we decided to give some jigging a try as some other boats were having some luck.

Our crew caught all of the amberjacks they wanted and a few nice blackfins, and a couple albecores.

decided to go back on the troll as everyone was worn out from jiggin.

late in the day another boat found the mother load of bluefins, we caught a few and were fourtunate enought that two of them were the correct size to keep (one under 47" and one over 47")

Slick calm ride home!

Nice Day Jay - are you jigging on strictly structure or when you are marking the fish? Do you guys drop the jigs when you have a fish on as well?

Nice Day Jay - are you jigging on strictly structure or when you are marking the fish? Do you guys drop the jigs when you have a fish on as well?

Markin the blackfins and jiggin to them, too deep you hook an amberjack. and yes over structure.

We would have dropped on the bluefin mark too, had we not hooked them 4 at a time. All we could do with the ones we had hooked on the troll.

It was really rough and slow fishin today, we had two bites a undersized mako and an albecore.

entirely too rough to even think about getting jiggy with it.
