MakowishMike sticks a 94" BFT
Well, to say the day started snotty and got worse is an understatement. Before we got to the knuckle, things were sporty. Once we got past the light, things increased and kept building throughout the day.
Being snotty, we couldn't run as many lines as we wanted to, but obviously we had enough out there! Throughout the early morning, things looked very "gamy". Birds diving, sharks finning, bait everywhere.......... Perfect. At about 0930, we got hit. For the first 15 minutes, MakowishMike and I talked about the strong possibility of a shark. The fish never sounded, never took drag, just came toward the boat very slowly. Then, when the leader swivel was in sight, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...........
GAME ON!
The give and take dance went on for another 15 minutes and resulted in a 94" 300lb BFT. Once on board, all were entertained with MakowishMike serinading us with Santa Clause is coming to town and the beating that we took today was justified.
I have pics, but can't get them off my camara until I get home on Sunday.
