I feel I must bow my head. Mako Mania must have updated the standing from when I looked at them this morning. We got pushed back to 7th.
We are out of the cash. I am straight bummed. Whats the point of having a website if you are not going to keep all the info up to date????
The boomers left us alone entirely so fortunately I didn't have to put your advice to the test! I always appreciate the knowledge, though. We had a pretty decent day weather wise on Sunday, we were about 60 miles off to the Southeast. The rain squalls on the way out there was the main deal. they were pretty miserable in that boat. We just put the throttles down (these WorldCats seem to run better the faster you go!) and aimed for the thinnest part of each rain squall. No thunder at all though. When we got out to where we were going there was no rain and it was fine.
Mickey,
That is what I thought -- I am pretty sure we ended up 9th out of the 16 that qualified, at least that is what the board had when I left at 7:30. So I was surpised to hear you made 5th or 6th with 144. Our fish was 138# and 74". We were fishing a 33' WorldCat (a dealer demo boat) for Surf and Offshire in Point Pleasant, NJ.
My normal boat (still being re-fitted) is a 31' Ocean Master, "American Mustang."
John
EDIT: sorry, we entered the boat under the name "WorldCat 33" but I believe we were listed as "Surf and Offshore team" on the results.
