Mako water temps
What's the lowest temperature water that anyone here has actually caught a Mako? I have one in my log book that was caught in 62 degree water. I want to go this weekend but the water temps look a little too low.

I have caught one at 57 degrees. Just one... A true slob of 498 but again only one... 62 seems to be their bottom threshold in my experience 64-68 being ideal...

Check out the 64-68 degree water outside the Washington. Im sure thier are some Makos in it.

Sit down Shut up And fish
58-59 degrees, same as deep big fish 400+. 64-68 seems to be prime time and find the bait!

Crab mustard is good
my opinion.
59-65 degrees in the spring. fall is kind of A funny thing,as they can be caught in A much colder surface temp as in the spring as long as it is still warmer sub surface and throughout the water columm.

I dont think there are any makos left on the easy coast. Every year it gets harder and harder. I think they should shut it down for a couple years.
