Thanks Mary... what a sad year, similar to 2006. It was tough fishing. Lots of good fisherman didn't have a good bite all weekend.

When our boat went down I was able to jump on board with a great team on Sat... we had great conditions other then drift in the morning, had it all working in the afternoon, but just a couple blue sharks. No good bites. Another boat 2 miles from us had three small fish.

We had our boat fixed and were able to get things back together to fish Sunday. Went right back to the same area on Sunday with the usual crew. Again had beautiful water, great conditions and a good drift in the AM. One small mako release and a bunch of blue sharks. However, we had the right fish on for about 5 minutes, shaking his head the whole time. Had him up to the surface 40 feet from the boat... threw the hook. We got a look at him from that distance and he looked 200... would have played for sure. Had our chance and missed it.

    "Ugh"

thats about all i can say about this weekends Sharkin' . Nice weather but with no wind and no drift it made for aweful shark fishing for us. We went south east of triples, found schoolie bft, saw a very large (what i believe to be) tiger (but it didnt bite) and that was about it.

From what i heard, i believe under 20 fish were weighed in total, but not sure. Can anyone confirm?

Mary listed the board above... looks like 10 fish and 201 took it. Worst year I can remember for MM.
